Ava made herself comfortable. Lounging in the middle of the bed, she was a sweet temptation.

He danced around Bryce awkwardly, every step tentative and filled with an awareness of what the other man had said. Electricity sparked in the air, anticipation sizzling through his veins at the tension ratcheting up. Three glasses landed on the counter in front of him and Cole realized he’d been leaning against it, knuckles holding him up for too long. He met Bryce’s stare, heat sizzling in the other man’s gaze. He wanted Ava as much as Cole did. Bryce poured three shots and brought one of the glasses to his lips, tipping back the amber liquid and letting it slide down his throat like a seasoned pro. Cole watched entranced as his Adam’s apple moved, wishing he had a chance with Bryce too.

Cole topped up Bryce’s glass with another shot of whiskey, and Bryce flashed Cole a confident smile, his eyes glittering wickedly in the lamps Ava had switched on. Want curled low in Cole’s belly.

A gust of wind straight off the ocean cooled his skin, the gauzy, white curtains billowing with each gust. Cole loaded the glasses onto a tray, needing a moment to gather his wits and stop himself from jumping the gorgeous man before him.

“This was not the movie we agreed to,” Bryce teased, his deep voice rumbling through Cole as he sat on the edge of the mattress, those chinos stretching tight over his thick thighs. When he saw Bryce’s fingers dancing circles on Ava’s petite ankles, Cole’s mouth went as dry as the Sahara.

“I need to be far more intoxicated to watch that rubbish excuse for a movie than I am now.” She held her hand out to Cole for the glass, the movement making the strap on her dress fall to the side. He wanted to pull it down. With his teeth. “Hit me up.”

Cole swallowed hard and shook his head. “We’re staying on this side of sober tonight,” he instructed.

When Ava wet her lips and shivered, Cole reacted on instinct, setting down the tray with a frown. Reaching for the throw at the foot of the bed, he wrapped it around her shoulders. Why hadn’t Ava said something if she was cold?

She smiled sweetly. “I’m okay, Cole. Just come and sit here with us.” She patted the spot next to her and Bryce scooted closer too, pressing up against her opposite side. Cole copied him. He needed to get a grip. He had enough self-control to focus only on Ava. At least he thought he did.

Dear god, he wanted to be consumed by them. His heart thudded, and his breaths shallowed out.

No, he didn’t want to be consumed by them. He wanted to do the devouring.

Ava closed her laptop and put it aside. He wasn’t going to complain and by the bulge in Bryce’s pants, neither was he. She motioned to Cole for the whiskey bottle, and he passed it to her, hoping she wasn’t going to scull it. He’d made it clear what he expected.

She flipped around, facing them, and laid the bottle down before murmuring, “How about instead of watching a movie, we get to know each other better. Truth or dare, or—” She slowly spun the neck of the bottle using a finger. "—spin the bottle?”

Cole stilled, an inferno burning through him. “Be careful what you wish for,” he cautioned, his voice a gravelly rasp.

Ava’s chest rose and fell in quick succession, and Bryce flat-out laughed. “She’s more than capable of making up her own mind.”

She high-fived Bryce when Cole opened his mouth to voice his agreement, and Ava agreed, “I am capable of making a decision.”

“Are you?” Bryce asked him, his own eyes widening at the question.

Cole exhaled slowly and nodded, a plan forming in his mind. All he had to do was keep his hands to himself. Concentrating solely on Ava wouldn’t be a hardship either—she was a wet dream, exactly the type of woman he had a hard-on for.

“Yeah,” he rasped, his dick pulsing at the thought of touching the woman before him. “Let’s play.”

Ava spun the bottle, but Cole couldn’t take his eyes off the people before him. She touched his knee and he realized he hadn’t even seen where it landed. The bottle hadn’t made a full revolution, pointing squarely at him. He reached down, turning the neck until it faced Bryce. “It didn’t make a full turn,” he explained, wanting Bryce to make the first move. He needed to make sure he was okay with this threesome.

“And it’s important we follow the rules.”

Bryce reached for Ava, and Cole’s heart doubled its rate. He traced his thick fingertips over her cheek, before running his thumb over Ava’s jaw and tilting her chin up. Bryce was infinitely gentle, his big hands dwarfing her petite frame. Leaning in, the man brushed his lips over hers in a sweet, chaste kiss. He licked her bottom lip, and Ava opened to him, their tongues touching gently as he explored her mouth. Ava shuffled closer and ran her hands up his chest and over those sculpted muscles that Cole wanted to lick.

When they finally broke apart, Cole was hard and desperately wanted another taste of her sweet lips. “Spin the bottle again, Ava,” he directed.
